Empowering Lives Through Compassionate Disability Support Work
NDIS Client-Oriented Support
NDIS Client-Oriented Support
Hi, my name's Shan and I'm embarking on an independent journey of becoming a Support Worker! I'm so excited to be extending my practises to members of the community, and ensuring that vulnerable individuals receive the care, compassion and support they deserve!
I have worked in Out of Home Care for clients in Child Protection since April 2023. It's very important that I have a trauma-informed, client-oriented approach to my practises. Additionally, I have also assisted NDIS clients with employment assistance. In my spare time, I volunteer for a Suicide WarmLine, to offer guidance and validation to vulnerable individuals.
I have completed my Certificate Four in Children, Youth and Family Intervention. Within this qualification, I have studied (and have experience working alongside) supporting individuals with a disability. I am also nearing the end of my Bachelor in Psychological Science and Criminology and I am extremely excited to incorporate mental health services into future practises!
Once your inquiry has been emailed through, I will send an attached referral to be filled out accordingly. I thank you for your patience during this time!
I will be providing my services under the appropriate CORE and Capacity Building funding streams.
Empowerment Through Care will be in operation on November 4th, 2024. I welcome referrals before this date, to establish a client-base before I begin my practise!
